Gurjeet K. Singh

Community Education & Communications Advocate

Gurjeet Kaur Singh has a long history of working within the Sikh community on initiatives relating to health, women’s empowerment, and spirituality. She is a graduate of the Masters of Public Health program at UC Berkeley and has worked at various levels of public health, including community-based organizations, large non-profits, and state and federal agencies. Gurjeet is driven by bringing light to issues affecting vulnerable populations, and particularly with regards to social determinants of health. 

At the Sikh Family Center, Gurjeet supports education and communication objectives through the development of community-focused initiatives, Punjabi and English language educational materials, and an active social media presence. Gurjeet’s current focus in life is raising her one year old daughter and finding fun ways to teach her the important things: kindness, perseverance, empathy, and self-love.
