Bitika Kohli

Bitika (she/hers) is a Sikh, a lifelong learner, a daughter, sister, wife, mother, and most importantly, a sangat member who cares deeply for her panth.
Bitika is a dedicated family physician committed to supporting families in achieving their optimal mental, physical, and spiritual health. Specializing in disability medicine, she serves as a primary physician for individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other developmental and intellectual disabilities. She is known for her holistic approach to care, emphasizing not just the treatment of medical conditions but the overall well-being of her patients and their families. She fosters an environment of curiosity, encouraging her patients and their families to explore and understand their health in a way that promotes long-term wellness.
She understands that good health extends beyond the clinic and hospital, encompassing the broader social and cultural context of her patients’ lives.
Her commitment to providing inclusive, compassionate, and culturally sensitive care reflects the Sikh Family Center’s values of promoting justice and equity. By addressing both individual and systemic barriers to health, she embodies the organization’s dedication to supporting the diverse needs of the Punjabi Sikh community and beyond. Her presence on the board brings valuable medical expertise and a shared vision of fostering a safer, more inclusive environment for all.
