Sanjog Kaur

Intervention Program Manager

Sanjog Kaur brings over 13 years of experience working with her local communities in need, including children with special needs, individuals facing mental health challenges, seniors facing social isolation, and women facing intimate violence. Sanjog is trained as an accountant and has raised two children with her husband. She is an active volunteer with her local Community Engagement Response Team (CERT) and LISTOS California.

During the COVID pandemic, as she managed the multiple needs of her family, she was struck by the comparatively larger need among families nearby: she became motivated to receive even further training as a crisis counselor. She has been working on county phone lines, connecting people to necessary resources. She became particularly concerned regarding the lack of calls from Sikh families to the county crisis lines with which she volunteered. This piqued her interest and seva with the Sikh Family Center. She is committed to care that is non-discriminatory, gently guiding, and supportive of those facing distress.
