COVID-19 Resources

Sikh Family Center stands with you as our families and communities learn to respond to the many new challenges posed by the COVID-19 (coronavirus) health crisis. Our non-emergency nationwide help line (866-732-7392 or 866-SFC-SEWA) continues to provide culturally-sensitive emotional support and safety planning in Punjabi & English, advocacy support, need-based emergency assistance, and referrals, including to existing resources in your local community such as food banks and emergency housing options.

To assist our communities, we have created bilingual resources and compiled a list of links and information below. This is a rapidly evolving situation. For the latest information on the coronavirus pandemic, please visit the CDC Website.

Virus Prevention

Below are resources regarding how COVID-19 is transmitted, and how you can help prevent the spread of viruses to people in your home, community, and Gurdwaras.

Family Safety

As governments impose home isolation measures to contain COVID-19, we recognize that home may not be a safe place for everyone, including people who experience domestic abuse or child abuse. We developed a short video series highlighting intimate partner/family violence, along with ways victim-survivors can increase safety during quarantine. These videos are in both English and Punjabi.
